Lot description:

LYDIA. Daldis - Flaviopolis. Trajan, 98-117. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.63 g, 12 h). TPAΙΑΝΟ-C ΚΑΙCΑΡ CE Laureate head of Trajan to right. Rev. ΔAΛΔIANΩN Zeus standing facing, head left, holding eagle in his right hand, scepter in his left. GRPC Lydia, 27 (same dies). RPC II 1327A = RPC III 2414. SNG Munich 101. Very rare and clear example with a fine green patina overlaid with earthen highlights. Very fine.

In the original version of the catalog of this coin, it was attributed to Domitian, following RPC II 1327A. With the help of GRPC, where the examples 25 and 26 attributed to Domitian and Trajan respectively, share the same dies, it is clear now that RPC II 1327A doesn't depict Domitian but it is actually a very early portrait of Trajan, thus RPC II 1327A should be incoprorated to RPC III 2414.
